Q1. What is your current role at Dufaylite, and how long have you worked here?
Operations Manager and I have been at Dufaylite for just over a year.
Q2. What was your first job?
I was an Apprentice Toolmaker.
Q3. What advice would you give to someone starting out in your industry?
Do your research – take the time to check out the market and others in this industry.
Q4. What challenges do you foresee for the industry in the coming year?
Possibly transport costs, raw material prices and of course the competition.
Q5. Who in your career has inspired you?
The first Shift Supervisor I worked alongside. He had very high standards and it really taught me a lot.
Q6. If you were not in your current role what would you like to be doing?
Something to do with motorsport.
Q7. What are your hobbies/interests away from the office?
Football and Motorsports, especially Formula 1.
Q8. If you could have dinner with any three people from any time, fictional or non-fictional, who would they be and why?
Lewis Hamilton – to give a deep insight into behind the scenes of Formula One.
George Best – to experience his lifestyle as a three-decade football idol.
The Queen – Chosen for pure admiration.
Q9. Which country would you most like to visit and why?
I would absolutely love to visit the Caribbean – any of the Islands they all look amazing.
Q10. What is your favorite book?
‘Back from the Brink’ – Autobiography of footballer Paul McGrath.
Q11. What is your proudest moment?
Getting married to Louise and the births of all three of my children.
Q12. What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
Treat people the way you would want to be treated.
